Our Science Experiment in Space was a guide to get the students thinking about their idea of yeast in a deeper way.  They needed to be able to research, but they needed some guiding questions for our discussions.  This helped guide us toward what we might want to look at with our yeast cells.

The actual plate to grow the yeast has been the source of a little frustration for students in terms of the size.  Dr. Stephens suggested we could also use a segmented plate.  This would be an example.  We have included here as we discussed this in the previous uploaded documents.  We plan to test in the classroom using different plates, and yeast.

The design matrix was created using the simplest of the matrixes suggested by Alli, our mentor.  The students were able to research thing susch as cost and size to help guage which design would rank as the best, or the worst overall.  The Power Point we borrowed information from is listed on this page.
